Engineering Consulting Firm Selects Immediate System Recovery Utility to Enhance Business Continuity

 Raxco Software today announced the selection of First Defense-ISR^™ (Immediate System Recovery) by Engineering Consulting Services, LTD (ECS) of Chantilly, Virginia.  FirstDefense-ISR will be installed on the more than 130 computers at ECS’s headquarters and the engineering consulting firm plans to have the system recovery tool in all 22 of its offices by the end of the year.

FirstDefense-ISR is a system recovery tool that periodically (and transparently) takes a “snapshot” of the current state of a user’s system and application software.  If the system experiences a software-related failure, the user can immediately boot from the most recent snapshot, virtually eliminating end user down-time and the time and resources required by the IT staff to recover the system.  FirstDefense-ISR also includes data anchoring, a feature which continuously backs up selected files, ensuring they are restored to the point of failure, no matter when the last snapshot was taken.
