Enables defragmentation software to capitalize on CPU and memory resources that 64-bit processor brings to the windows platform
Raxco Software, the worldwide leader in disk defragmentation software, today released PerfectDisk® 7.0 Build 46, an updated version of its award-winning defragmentation software. The new capability lets customers working on the x64-based versions of Windows® to defragment even larger drives more quickly, enable applications to launch faster, and access files more quickly.
The latest update to Raxco’s award-winning software sets PerfectDisk apart from other competitors, whose current versions do not support x64-based Windows systems. When customers download the newest PerfectDisk, the installation program automatically determines whether the customer is running 32-bit or x64-based Windows and installs the software accordingly.
“PerfectDisk’s latest improvements come at a time when customers demand larger hard disks to run multiple applications and access numerous files, such as spreadsheets, presentations and budget data,” said Greg Hayes, Manager of Technical Solutions at Raxco. “Our customers are using increasingly powerful systems, like the x64-based Windows platform, and we continue to develop defragmentation technology to help them maximize the performance and increase the lifespan of their PCs.”
PerfectDisk has long been the defragmenter with more Microsoft® certifications than any other defragmenter on the market and has achieved the highest standards in excellence. PerfectDisk 7.0 was the first defragmenter certified by Microsoft, with independent testing from VeriTest, the testing division of Lionbridge, for Windows Server™ 2003 and Windows 2000 Server.
