Computer Power User Touts PerfectDisk 2008
2008 Software Guide Calls it Best High-Power Alternative to Windows Built-in Defragger
Raxco Software, the leader in disk defragmentation software, announced today that Computer Power User (CPU) Magazine has chosen PerfectDisk2008 as its preferred high-power disk defragmenter in the publication’s annual Software Guide. Highlighted in the upcoming September issue, in an article entitled "Utillity Madness - CPU's Big List of Apps That Rock", the magazine stated that “times have changed” in pointing to PerfectDisk 2008’s leadership position and listing it as one of the magazine’s “cool utilities and applications that solve problems, add convenience, and generally make your computing life better.”
PerfectDisk’s combination of “options, functionality, better optimization routines, a ‘Free Space’ explorer (to help track down what files and folders are taking up the most space on your drives), and a nicer interface” all contributed to its top billing. CPU stated that “the clincher is a lower price, along with different versions for VMware® and other specialized situations.”
“We’re pleased to receive this recognition from CPU as one of its top disk and file tools,” said Joe Abusamra, vice president of operations at Raxco Software. “CPU editors, reviewers and, of course, readers represent many of the industry’s most knowledgeable and respected power users. Their recognition of PerfectDisk as one of the top utilities for enhancing the overall computing experience echoes that of our millions of users around the world.”
